Heated Floors

It should be noted that the idea of heated floors arose many centuries ago. Even the ancient Romans warmed public baths where hot air flew through the channels under the floor. And there were long ovens installed in the basement in Russian churches, the chimney was located under the floor and walls there.
Before the end of 1970 warm floor was applied in individual cases, mainly in nurseries and kindergartens, swimming pools. The main reason for such a rare use was a big labor assembly of such systems and their high cost. The situation changed radically when the first in France and later in other European countries floors with electric heating appeared. The cost of heated floors decreased and they became public.
However, heated floors can be used practically in all types of premises both as the sole method of heating and in combination with other forms of heating. Floor heating system can be embedded in the floors of almost any design.
The distinguishing characteristic of the system of floor heating are its low operating costs. Heating cables do not require maintenance, and their life comes to a few tens of years. Moreover, if the heating cable is accidentally damaged, it will not represent any threat to surrounding structures, and the fault will be immediately apparent. The damage can be easily detected and repaired.
